WOOLSHED POTTERS WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS

Membership Requirements

EXPERIENCE

Applicants for membership must have the technical skills to undertake, safely and without assistance, the type of work they want to produce. It is expected that new members will need some help with locating things, but they should not depend on other members for unreasonable help with using equipment and technique.

Applicants usually need to have attended a minimum of two classes similar in content and size to those run at the Woolshed Potters Rooms by Tawa College Community Education (i.e. 10 week courses, as opposed to a 1 or 2 day workshop).

Note: If attending a course at our rooms the tutor of the course would need to propose the application.  For a prospective member who has learnt elsewhere we may ask you to pot at our club nights so we can assess your skill level before offering membership.

See below for more info about courses available at the club.

The work rooms, floors and benches are expected to be kept thoroughly clean. Members are responsible for ensuring any workspaces that they have used while in the rooms are cleaned and are also expected to maintain and look after club equipment.
